Thanks for the side face shot, this may mean that this lizard can be identified it has wandered/ lives further north along the Murrumbidgee than most of our other Rosenbergs records

Nice try Ouzodog. I compared your photo of the right face with all nearby records (the only other one to the south on the river, two on Naas Rd and a bunch on the Mt Tennent walk). Most were taken too far away to see the left or right face but the good ones can be seen to be different goannas than this one. An excellent example is sighting 4414959 by S Wishart on Mt Tennent Varanus rosenbergi (Heath or Rosenberg's Monitor) . The left and right faces are different but usually somewhat similar.
