Grey Currawong is the only species on Kangaroo Island and this far west (Pied barely reaches into far se SA. Some of the western subspecies are surprisingly dark resembling Pied Currawong visually. This no doubt will also screw up @CarbonAI a lot.

Certainly looked like Pied Currawong though the call was a very piercing almost bell sound.

Yes call is also very distinctive for Grey, very different to Pied.
