User's notes
The photo shows an old Lyrebird nest exhibiting key characteristics of height above ground and general size. The nest is in a snapped-off tree trunk about 5 metres above ground. We have seen male and female Lyrebirds in this area (including as a pair) and heard calls, with some frequency.

Sounds pretty convincing. I've seen them in stumps too, though not that high, but more often low down on rock faces, where they'd have very little protection from foxes.
