This individual was observed climbing/basking in the lower branches of a Kunzea ericoides (flowering) shrub. The skink was probably attracted by the diversity of insects (as I was) attracted to the Kunzea flowers. There were other observations of the same species in the general vicinity: (1) amongst rocks at the base of trees) (2) basking on fallen branches at near ground level.
