@belleandjason : the larval case of L. lainodes is decorated with short thick sticks randomly oriented. This case has longer thin sticks mainly attached near the head end of the case, like L. zophopepla, so I think this is a better guess at its ID. But the best way to id it is to rear it in captivity to get the adult moth. Please can you do that?
