Interesting - I'll look out for them in the bursaria. Are the adult channel-billed cuckoos still around? Because it seems like the fledgling has left, and I'm wondering if the parents have collected it and they're winging their way north . . .

Yeah there are more of these beetles in the area. Amazing looking thing. And there have been a pair of channel billed cuckoos all spring/summer. Usually there is only one.
